Physician Michael Kolinski DO joins SMPC
Michael Kolinski is now seeing patients! OMT can be used to treat a multitude of illness and ailments, such as; headaches, neck pain, low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many other types of injuries.
After Dr. Kolinski meets the patient and listens to their pain problems, he will do a physical examination and assessment of the patient’s posture, spinal motion and balance. He will then move on to palpate the bones, muscles and joints of the back and extremities of the body. Dr. Kolinski will check major joints for restriction and/ or dysfunction during motion. Pain is often caused by these restrictions.
After the assessment, Dr. Kolinski will determine what OMT techniques might treat and correct structural abnormalities that he has diagnosed. The goal of OMT is to normalize and optimize musculoskeletal function which allows the proper functioning of the nervous system and reduces pain. Dr. Kolinski is available at all three SMPC locations!
